Yes!! It’s going to be my last holiday before starting school mid-August. It’s also going to be my very first time in Bangkok, I’ll be there for 4D3N and I’m flying without a check-in luggage this time. I thought I’d do up a post talking about some of the travel essentials I usually bring along. Also, a very special preview of one of the projects I’ll be working on in Bangkok for the blog!
Some of my basic travel essentials I have to bring in my backpack are my shades, passport and wallet. At this point, you may be thinking, “obviously“. Let me continue before you exit this page 😂 So I always carry my charger, with a detachable USB head because, on some planes, you can charge your devices via USB. Also nowadays, lots of airports have USB charging ports, so you don’t need to worry if your plug fits or not! Similarly, I bring a travel adapter that have USB charging ports available so I can charge multiple devices at once, like my camera batteries etc.
Since I’m heading to Bangkok this time round, I’ll be bringing my portable fan because I heard it’s really hot there. I will need this to prevent any possible melting situations 🙈 Also, earpieces for the plane ride there and because I like to listen to music before bed! I wanted to include my camera in the photo but… I only have one camera so… 😂
My Pouch Items ㅡ Things I carry around with me
Wet tissues and Hand Sanitizer. These are very useful cause you may not be able to find a toilet to wash your hands when you need to, and wet tissues can be used to wipe tables and chairs before you sit down (OCD)
Innisfree Green Tea Pure Gel Hand Cream, this name is quite ironic because it’s technically more of a gel than a cream. I usually don’t like hand creams, but I like this one because it doesn’t leave that tacky sticky feeling!
B-liv Charcoal Oil-blotting papers. I bought this in Johor Bahru Watsons, and I can’t seem to find this in Singapore. If anyone knows where to get this, please let me know! They have another version that’s the green tea blotting papers, I prefer that over this. My face always secretes oil whenever it gets warm, so this is very important for me!!
Gatsby Wild Shake Moving Rubber in Travel Size. I’m not bringing my flat iron with me this trip so hairstyles will be determined by this! I don’t know… will it be very warm that the wax starts melting? I sweat a lot, like, a lot. Hopefully, all goes well. *fingers crossed* Thank God in advance I cut short my hair.
MdoC’s Signature Roll-on Parfum. I am very thankful to the people at Mdoc Singapore, because this product is not released officially in Singapore at the moment, but they allowed me to purchase it!! It’s a very convenient way to freshen up and smell good.
Lip balm. I’m so scared that my lips will crack again, hence this product goes with me wherever I go. Refer to this post to know more. Lastly, no matter which country I go to, I will always bring charcoal pills, Panadol and flu medicine with me! It’s a nice precaution I think everyone should take 😊
So for skincare, I will definitely bring my su:m 37 Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick because it’s so convenient for travels, and also the It’s Skin sunscreen. I talked about these two products in my May Favourites post, so you can just head there to read more about it! I will also be bringing a face mist ㅡ the Serozinc, to cool down the skin because it gets reallllly hot in Bangkok.
The Cosrx Acne Pimple Patches is one of my most-loved items, and I think I can’t live without these. (cosrx when are you gonna come out with packs of 100?!) I’ll talk more about this in my July Favourites/Empties post next week, so stay tuned for that! Or you can read my post on Last Minute Acne Solutions, where I talked very very briefly about the pimple patches as well!
Okay, so I mentioned in the beginning of this post that I’ll be working on a project in Bangkok. So basically, you can see that I am bringing a lot of samples to Bangkok this time round. I’m still deciding what samples to bring, but definitely, I will be testing out various samples when I’m there, and hopefully, I’ll be able to talk about my first impressions, make comparisons etc. So do look out for that post in the future!
One thing I like about samples is that you get to test the product before deciding whether you want to buy the full-sized product or not. This way, you won’t spend loads of money on the actual full-sized product only to find out, it doesn’t match your skin. CNP Laboratory Singapore offers this option of delivering samples directly to your mailbox ㅡ for free! Just simply fill up this form here and wait for your samples to arrive! 🆓
Wishtrend also offers the Klairs Best Trial Kit, where you can try 8 different products only at USD3.50! It contains a sample one of my favourite toners at the moment, the Klairs Supple Preparation Toner, which is also going to be in my July favourites! You can also purchase the trial kit here if you’re interested! 👌
