I always crave for Korean food. (or maybe Korean-Chinese food in this post) Ever since going to Korea in 2015, I have fell in love with their food and everything! Can you believe I will be going to Korea for the 6th time this 2018?! So whenever I have a craving for Jjangjangmyeon, I will always come to O.Bba Jjajang!
I brought some of my Korean friends who were on exchange here when they missed the taste of their hometown, and they agree that the food here is very similar to Korea, albeit the price difference. In Korea, JJM will never be this expensive, but since we’re in Singapore, I guess the price justifies itself.
The staff are from Gwangju, the cooks and some of the service staff, so the taste is very authentic! Also tasty Korean food usually resides outside of Seoul, so knowing that they came from Gwangju is a very reassuring fact!
O.Bba Jjajang gives off a very cosy feel, twice I came here and sat right beside the entrance, which was okay because it has good lighting for photos (lol) but one time I got to sit in one of those “private booths” so it was a great atmosphere for drinking in case we got too loud haha!
Trust me, this bowl of Jjajangmyeon (짜장면) is worth coming back for. It tastes exactly like Korea. Some other dishes I recommend are the GunMandu (군만두), Jjamppong (짬뽕) and Tangsuyuk! (탕수육)
