Hey guys!! This is my fourth instalment for my Korea Solo Trip Series!! So far I’ve blogged about:
If you have yet to check those posts out, hurry and check them out!! 🏃🏃
Today I’m bringing you guys to Boseong, Yulpo and Mokpo!! It was one of the happiest days during my solo trip there, I really had so much fun! Super thankful to Hyunjun who drove me everywhere, all the way to Mokpo to meet up with another friend! First stop for the day was Boseong: the place famous for their green tea fields! We had lunch, green tea Bibimbap to be exact, and it was honestly meh. I prefer normal Bibimbap 😐
Boseong is such an amazing place, the green tea fields were so pretty, prettier than Jeju’s OSulloc one, in my opinion! I always wanted to visit this place and it’s definitely as pretty they seem in photos! You can walk between the rows of green tea plantation to get your perfect Instagram shot like I did here. Make sure to end your trip here by having green tea soft serve!! It’s honestly so good, actually, anything green tea is good 😅🍵
We drove to Yulpo Beach because of a photo I chanced upon on Instagram, also because it’s nearby Boseong! Strolling on the beach we realized there were so many tiny crabs!!! Hyunjun grabbed them and threw them on my palm lol. But they were soooooooooooo tiny!! First time seeing such tiny crabs, very interesting experience!! There were also families camping along the coast. I really wanna try camping in Korea one day, honestly, Koreans make camping look so fun.
Making our way to the last stop for the day: Mokpo! We passed by a lot of countryside views while driving there. Some times I wonder how life would be like in the countryside, it’ll be nice to experience some peace and quiet away from the city. Singapore’s too fast paced for me sometimes, especially when the school semester starts, I hope I find time to chill and relax once in a while (#notetoself)
We picked up Taeyong and they brought me to this BBQ place that has unlimited meat and stew for 10,000won, like what?! The meat quality is really good too! Oh, such a good meal compared to lunch that day! They have branches all over Korea, so if you see a meat buffet sign that says unlimited meat for 10,000won, it should be them! I think it’s called Ungteori BBQ! So check them out for affordable and good BBQ!
Ended the night by strolling along the boardwalks in Mokpo Peace Park, people were setting off fireworks, ‘Marry Me’ by Maktub was playing along the streets, people eating street food, couples hand in hand. It was such a great atmosphere. There is also a water fountain show here, and the yellow ribbon symbol was showing before the fountain show started. #RememberingSewol
Hyunjun dropped me off at the bus terminal so I could take a bus back to Gwangju. Travelling around Korea is that convenient! Check out my vlog for more scenes from the day, sometimes I forget to take pictures and get too absorbed in taking videos. So a vlog could be a better representation of the place sometimes!! 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
Thank you for reading/watching!! I’ll see you in my next post on Wednesday!! Follow me on Instagram to check out my daily happenings: http://instagram.com/__sy_g
