Started Day 2 of Bangkok by heading towards the river, where we saw Wat Kalayanamit Woramahawihan at the opposite side of the river bank (the famous Wat Arun is nearby). We took some photos near the river and walked along the river until we found a restaurant to have lunch! Thai food is seriously amazing, and cheap too! I can’t remember the name of the place because we didn’t plan to visit this place specifically, but it’s along the Yodpiman River Walk!
Nearby the River Walk, is the famous Pak Khlong Flower Market! I always try to visit a traditional market whenever I’m overseas, so I’m glad I got a chance to look around this place! It’s nice knowing how the locals live their daily lives by going to these kind of places! It’s really nearby so it’s walkable distance!!
We also chanced upon an amazing flower themed cafe nearby, it’s near this street (photo below) but I will be talking about that cafe in another post!! I’ll introduce some of my favourite cafes will be in that post!!
So after chilling at the cafe, we went to Asiatique via Grab and it’s such a huge place!! It’s also a nice place to see the sunset by the river, and get your cameras ready to shoot an amazing sunset photo! Asiatique is not as cheap as those night markets, but it’s definitely worth visiting if you want to some shopping! Getting a Grab here was not easy but we managed, and don’t take the taxi service provided near the entrance!! It was so expensive compared to the Grab prices!! So persevere until you grab your Grab!
(oh this lady makes a mean roti with nutella it’s amazing, try and find it in Asiatique)
We didn’t have dinner here because of the prices, but I suggest you can set aside some money to eat here if you want to, but we went nearby our Airbnb because that place had some amazing and cheap food!!
