Last month, StyleKorean asked if I would be interested to try out some new products they are trying to curate for their website, and I definitely said yes! I know it’s been long since I’ve posted a review on skincare products, but don’t worry – i’m following my routine closely and trying out new stuff!
So one of the products they sent over was the Ground Plan 24 Hour Secret Mist Plus!
I actually have a history with Groundplan, in case you didn’t know! Back in 2016, Groundplan was actually one of those hidden brands because Kbeauty wasn’t as blown up as today. I managed to find them through SNS, and got my hands on the GroundPlan 24 Secret Mist back then! (it didn’t have a plus back then). The bottle at the back of the photos used to be the one i used! (yes I keep my empties because I don’t know when I might need them lol)
I still remember back then it was so difficult to get this item, so I had a friend bring it back for me from Korea! You guys are lucky because I think StyleKorean is gonna make this product so easily available now! The brand has grown so much ever since and they have a huge range of products now! We’ll talk about that later.
For now, the 24 Hours Secret Mist Plus ㅡ
What this product is know for is that it does NOT contain purified water but instead, it has 85% Witch Hazel extract to soothe your skin. Also, it is 100% made with natural extracts, so babies can use it as well. If you search them on Instagram, you’ll come across photos of babies using it (before and after photos) so it is totally safe for babies!
It’s definitely not your everyday kind of mist from the ingredients that are inside, it feels more “powerful” and “potent” in a sense, like an upgraded version of a mist. How I use it, basically like a toner. So sometimes instead of my usual toner, I spray this all over my face and tap for it to absorb. It smells kind of botanical in a sense? But in a natural way. No artificial smells.
Oh, it’s a really fine mist. Which I love.
StyleKorean was so kind to send over a huge bag of samples, and I have to say, I am impressed with the range of items they have now. Among the whole lot, I am really in love with their Six Sense Face Oil. I have oily skin and people with oily skin types are really afraid of using oils. But I say, if you use it well and appropriately, you can really benefit from using oils!
It’s great to see brands that weren’t so well-known in the past starting to become more global!
The other item was About Me’s MediAnswer Set
The set also included a cute item to measure your re-defined jawline, and also a box with a mirror in it.
Before I say anything, do note that lift-up bands or masks that help to shape your jawline or anything along that line, is not a permanent solution to creating a v-shape jawline! My personal conviction is that these items help to lift the jaw area for a short while, so these items are great before a big day! But please do not go into this thinking it will really create a v-line for you.
That being said, the Collagen Lift Up Band was really, really, reaaaallly adhesive. The band itself is really sticky so basically you stick the center near your chin and pull the sides up before sticking it to your face. It was an interesting experience, and sure enough, right after taking it off, you have that ‘oh? I think it worked!’ feeling. But the effect definitely wore off later.
As for the Collagen Firm Up Mask, the hydrogel material was really good. The mask was hydrating, and did not have much leftover essence in the pack. Something I find really consistent with hydrogel masks. But the brightening effects of this mask was really good, I wonder why. It was marketed and a collagen firming mask though. However, it definitely felt hydrating afterwards.
Thanks for reading, and a huge thanks to StyleKorean for sending this over. I’m so grateful for opportunities like this. I wasn’t paid or anything to write this, but I did receive the products from them, just in case if you were wondering.
Have a great day!
